Edward & Alison

You know it was a good wedding when you’re editing images and you can’t help but feel so much emotion. I had the honor of second shooting Edward and Alison’s wedding with Jenn Langdon. The wedding was at the Mystic Seaport in Connecticut. They couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful day, including a gorgeous sunset just before their reception. Edward and Alison decided to have a first look before the ceremony. They had their closest family and friends there for it, which made it even more moving. It was by far one of my favorite moments of the day. You can just tell by the way that these two look at each that they are such a sweet and caring couple.

Lindsay - I love the shot of the sun setting over the water. I’m hoping to get that look for my wedding!

Sean and Ashley

Here are some images from a wedding that I second shot with Jenn Langdon in Waterford, CT. Sean and Ashley were married at the Eolia Mansion on a beautiful fall day. They had by far one of the most emotional wedding days I have ever seen. Family is their number one priority and this was clear by the overwhelming love and support surrounding them. The ceremony was done by Sean’s grandfather, their Poppy. He incorporated Ashley’s love for Disney into the ceremony. He touched upon many of the classic Disney movies and how their lessons about life, love and growing can be related to Ashley and Sean’s life together. Ashley and Sean were one of the happiest wedding couples I have ever seen – their bond was truly inspirational. The had huge, glowing smiles the entire day and all of their guests did too. Best of all, the reception turned out to be one seriously fun party.

Lindsay - The little flower girl with the ring is SO cute! What a sweet, little, devilish smile :)

Nicole and Jared

Here are some images from a wedding that I second shot with Jenn Langdon. Nicole and Jared were married at the Guilford Yacht Club in CT. They had an outdoor ceremony with a great view of the water followed by a lively cocktail hour and reception. The Jon Bates Band put on an outstanding performance at the reception and they had everybody on the dance floor! Being that Nicole and Jared are from Boston they also had a cigar roller at the reception from the Boston Cigar Factory. This added a really unique touch to their wedding. The entire day was a perfect celebration of their love.

Julia’s Senior Pictures

So it’s official…senior pictures are some of my favorite things to shoot. One of the coolest parts of my job is that I get to meet so many new people. Getting to know seniors is exciting because they are on the verge of new experiences and possibilities. For the first time they are stretching beyond the realm of their comfort zone and with a clean slate at hand, the world is theirs for the taking. Just in the few hours that I spent with Julia it was clear to me that she is one fun, fearless senior. She talked to me about how she wants to be a movie director and what she plans to do after high school. She brought a strong sense of style to the session…not to mention the fact that she is gorgeous! Julia, I had such a great time working with you and I can’t wait to see what big things you do with filmmaking!

Brittany and Tim – Vintage Garden Vermont Wedding

Brittany and Tim were married two weeks ago in Chester, Vermont. They had a classic southern Vermont wedding and all of the festivities took place at the Fullerton Inn. Through the do-it-yourself details and the sweet rustic charm, Brittany and Tim’s personalities shined through in every way. The Inn was such a comfortable and intimate setting for the celebration of their love. They weaved in personal touches such as home baked cookies and wild flower arrangements made by Brittany’s mom. They also had a rehearsal dinner BBQ on Friday night and an end of the weekend breakfast for their guests on Sunday. It was a true family affair full of togetherness, laughter and good times.

I love the hustle and bustle of the bridesmaids getting ready in the background of this photo.

The mother of the bride.
The bride with her mom and sister.
Post-makeup photo opportunity…she looks gorgeous!
Left: me trying to get Britt to give me some attitude for a serious portrait. Right: her bridesmaids making her burst out in laughter.
The flower girls switched roles last minute…look at that face! They were both adorable.
I love all the emotion in the next few photos.
The flower girls at the end of the night. They fell asleep right in the reception room with the party still going on!
